Many students in Hong Kong may not have the chance to live and learn performance with like-minded friends, not to mention to stage a full-scale musical before such a large audience.  At SMS, there is such a great opportunity for the students to show their talents.  Thanks to all the supportive parents, family helpers, and everyone who are here today in the audience to support our students.

 

Students, I thank you for joining us to witness the power and magic of musical theatre together.  On this stage, you show us how professional you could be after countless hours of rehearsal and hard work.  Nothing is too hard for a heart full of passion.  On this stage, the magic lies not on fabulous set and costumes.  It is the magic of your performance, confidence and camaraderie.

 

Tutors and crew, I thank you for putting in more than one could expect.  In a performing artist’s career, often one either performs or one teaches.  In SMS, tutors teach, nurture and lead.  The skills that you impart, creativity that you inspire, and the care that you share touch lives.

 

May the human spirit and the magic of musical theatre live on in SMS for many more years to come.
